I haven't had the opportunity to check out the fitness room, but they do have one with a pool as well. Over all, I would say giving the price, location, and what I see so far, this is absolutely a nice experience. If you like to see the new look, wait until Summer.

Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites San Jose Airport, California
I took a quick trip up to San Jose, California recently. To my surprise, I came across this hotel off marriott.com website at a extremely reasonable price for a weekend night. The location is very close to San Jose International Airport (under 3 miles).
Address: 1755 North First Street, San Jose California
According to the Google search engine title on it, this is an Award Winning Hospitality. While I've stayed at numerous hotels before, I decided to give this place a try.
Upon arriving at the location, the first thing I noticed is "CONSTRUCTION". This is a good thing, as the exterior make over of the place gave it a really nice look and feel to the place. The layout of the hotel, with a little gazabo area in the center reminds me of Courtyard By Marriott. In the same hotel plaza area, under construction, is a brand new Starbuck and Vietnamese Pho restaurant. Do I hear late night coffee break?
After check in, I received a small paper bag with goodies to welcome me to the place. The bag consisted with a bottle of water, bag of peanuts, and a few chocolate bars. I was greeted with a welcome smile as well. Not too bad so far. They mentioned the interior will also be remodeled and redone. All supposedly be finishes by summer 2007.
The room itself is a regular size typical room you find at most standard hotel. No different than one found at the Courtyard By Marriot or Hampton Inn. The good thing about it, giving the place is old enough to need remodeling, it is actually still in better shape than I thought. Still fairly clean. Comfortable beds made by Serta too!
Complimentary HOT breakfasts are available in the morning. You'll have your usually cerals, coffees, juices, breads, fruits, and oatmeals. They do have sandwiches in the mini frigs, the "Jimmy Deans" breakfast ones you could quickly nuke up in the microwaves.
